| AIDS Threat in Israel
The impact of HIV/AIDS in Israel is becoming a serious threat to the Jewish Community.
- There are over 5,000 people living with HIV/AIDS in Israel right now!
- Seventy percent of all HIV/AIDs cases are among heterosexuals, women being a significant population.
- Twenty-five percent or one thousand two hundred live below the poverty line.
- Four percent of the total are children under the age of 18.
We have an opportunity to squelch the increased infection rate in Israel by providing the necessary education, prevention, and psychosocial programs to prevent the spread of this deadly disease. It is the goal of AIDS Foundation Israel to raise the necessary funds to do just that. Three main areas will be targeted: 1. Prevention, 2. Education, and 3. Testing.
Our goal is to raise $80,000.00 in 2008. All proceeds raised will go directly to fight against the spread of HIV/AIDS in Israel.
Be Blessed
